Making Christmas

This year I am making almost all the gifts that I am giving. I had a bit of a financial struggle in the second half of 2009 and I just can't afford to do a big blow out of gifts. Also I find that people really love getting things that you have made just for them!

My friend Jen, is what I would call the Blair to my Serena. She loves the hairband and rocks them better than most people I know. I, on the other hand, can barely wear a hairband long enough to wash my face! So for Christmas, I made her this:

I got a plain white hairband from the Dollar Store and then covered it in tons of white feathers I got a Dressew. I just glue gunned them on. Then I added the black feather, and on top a button I found on the floor of a change room one time. It was so much fun and I love it!

I gave it to her a few days ago and I am pretty sure she love it too!! Christmas Success!

Christmas is in the air....ALREADY?

That's right people it is November second and the trees are up at the Chapters on Robson and Howe. Also word on the street is that tomorrow, November third, the red cups are back at Starbucks, complete with Peppermint Lattes!

Now I love Christmas but it is too soon, I am still in a sugar coma from Halloween and I need time to recuperate between large holidays. I am I the only one!?

Stanley Park Christmas Lights!

Tuesday night my man and I got all bundled up and went out in the snow to see the Christmas Lights in Stanley Park. This was my first year going to see them, it was beautiful. What I didn't know is that there is a train ride through the park where you get to see even more lights. Its $8.00 per adult and we were totally going to do it till we saw this line!

Lets say we were not the only people with this idea. Apparently you need to buy the tickets in advance or be willing to what about 45mins to and hour. Which normally would have been fine but with all this weird snowy weather we are having, it was FREEZING!

So we are planning on going next year. Which makes me super excited! I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to Christmas fun. If you have time before you head out on your Christmas holidays I say go and check it out. The lights were awesome and its free if you skip the train! I say grab a hot coco, bundle up and do it!

After the lights we did a little Christmas shopping then off to my place for a great meal and a Christmas viewing of "Fred Claus".

Here's what I wore.

Shirt: My mans
Tank Top: Free from my friend(underneath)
Skirt: H&M $30
Tights: American Apparel $16
Boots: Zara $80
Belt: Winners $5
Head Band: Necklace from Urban Outfitters $20

I had to buy these boots when it snowed on Sunday as I have NO waterproof footwear. I am very unprepared for this weather!

Enjoy:)

I Love Christmas

I love Christmas! You get money you can spend on clothes, gift certicates for clothes stores or clothes! What can be better!? This is the cutest jacket! My parents got me a gift card for Le Chateau and I find this coat on sale for $99.00. The details are priceless! Love the bow in the back. It makes me so happy to wear on a grey and rainy day in Vancouver. I feel like the girl from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Violet Beauregarde, in a good not exploding kinda way. Check her out in this clip, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heWF-2ci3wo

I also got a pair of Betsey Johnson heels from my boyfriend. I love them! How cute are these? I am going to where them to the Michael Buble concert January 12th for our anniversary. Very excited!

I also received a new lulu lemon work out top that I am excited about. It has an ipod holder in the back with a way to keep the headphone wires out of the way when you are jogging. Normally I wouldn't blog about something like this but we all know its good to stay in shape and you may as well look good doing it.

Now is is what I call a Fashion Christmas. Hope you all had a very merry and fashionable Christmas too.
