Bubble Dress

Last night it was my friend Nicole's birthday bbq. Her and my friend Nathan just bought a condo and so it was time to make the trek to Burnaby to see the new place. Also to my great surprise they just got a puppy! I love puppies, so I had my hands full all night. It was a great time had by all and the food was amazing. Plus I finally got to wear the second dress my man got me for my birthday in March. Its a strapless, polka dotted, bubble dress! I love it, its so cute, but being that it was a bbq I brought it down a little by throwing my favorite vest over top. Its always good when you can make a dress casual and dressy.

Summer Skirt

It was a hot day yesterday, and I realized I don't really have any skirts I can just throw on with a cute top to beat the heat. Most of my skirts are pencil skirts, more officey and better with heels than flip flops. I do however have this American Apparel skirt I bought a couple summers ago and this is how I made it mine.

Vest: Sirens $15
Tank Top: American Apparel, free I got it at a photo shoot
Skirt: American Apparel $40
Flip Flops: Joe Fresh, a couple summers ago, before the clothes got nice
Earrings: Hong Kong street market, 0.50 cents
Necklace: Aldo $10
Bracelets: Can't remember
Ring: True Value Vintage $5
Cheers, for now!

Nautical Chic

How great does this outfit look? This one of the girls I work with Myra and she looks great in her nautical inspired outfit. So summery and cute with a little bit of rock star in the glasses! Plus the pop of red shoes just brings it all together for me. Nice work!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!

This weekend my man and I celebrated one year of dating, and what a fun year it has been. So what better why to celebrate then with a whole weekend of fun! Saturday was spend at the beach, then we did nine holes of pitch and putt. The best part was the Vancouver Canadians baseball game. What a great way to spend a night! Its only 11 dollars a person and you get to enjoy the sunshine and get a couple beers. Plus some nights after the game there are fireworks, we were lucky enough to be there on one of those nights.

I seriously suggest you get some friends together and go check it out!
Love,
Girl

Running Errands

So after we got back from my parent's wedding I had a bunch of errands to run around town. This is what I wore. Big news we finally got a flat screen TV. Our old TV was so tiny and I had been carrying it all over Vancouver with me for the last 7 years that it needed to be retired. Its fun watching movies on a TV where you can actually see the people!

My Mom's Wedding

My mom and my step-dad finally got married on Saturday. They have been together for 9 years, so yes it was about time. Also I finally got to wear my Betsey Johnson dress that I bought on super sale back in November! The dress is so beautiful and the wedding was so simple that I decided not to over complicate it with a lot of extras. For the reception I trade my heels for gold sandals. Easier to spend the night dancing that way. In fact a small handful of us shut the place down at 12:30, we just didn't want to stop dancing. Congratulations you two!

Dress: Betsey Johnson $125
Shoes: Betsey Johnson (Christmas gift from my man)
Earrings: Spring $7
Watch: Vintage $20, Thrifted at Value Village
Bracelet: Thrifted at Value Village $2

Multiple Uses

I wore this outfit to work last week. I just throw it together and I love it. Also it show how you can use one item in a few different ways. The skirt is actually a dress that I have wore before. Its strapless and that makes it more difficult to wear. By putting the tank top over top of it and making it into a skirt, I can wear the piece I love without feeling overexposed in the middle of the day.

Tank Top: H&M $15
Skirt/Dress: Vintage $30, found at Mintage on Commerical Dr
Shoes: Spring $40
Earrings: Gift (Bought on the beach at English Bay)
Necklace: Aldo $2
Bracelets: Le Chateau $5
Belt: Le Chateau $15

What things do you consider your multiple use items?

Cheers!
