Birthday Swagger

Last Wednesday was my birthday so this Saturday was my birthday party! Had a bunch of friends over for some drinks and munchies. I love to entertain so I made what my friend called a snack map! I had a piece of construction paper on our table as a table mat and wrote down what the food was with sharpie. Unfortunately I did not get a picture. I was too busy working the room. Here are some snapshots from my birthday week.

This birthday was a ton of fun and I really enjoyed having people over instead of going out. We got to have ACTUAL conversations with each other. Imagine that! And I want to give a big shout out to my awesome neighbours for letting us go till 6 in the morning with some music and not getting mad. I owe you a bottle of wine!

30, Moving and Mexico!

Sorry I have been missing in action. A lot has been going on in the last little bit that it seemed like I had no time for anything! I was getting up at 5:45am, going non stop till bed at 11:00pm. Lets just say I was not a happy camper. But I am through the storm and now am back to just my regular two jobs and it feels great. Finally sometime for me.

Recap: I had a very exciting 30 birthday! It was a ton of fun. My best birthday yet! My loving man got me the weekend bag that I was dying to have and it is even better in real life. I even had a costume change at my party, one dress for dinner and one dress for dancing! Thank you to everyone who came out and made my night so perfect and fun.

Next up my man and I decided to move in together and have found an apartment. We move in May 1st and have already started trying to find all the perfect pieces to make our home together. If anyone know where I can get mirrored bedside table in Vancouver please let me know! Expect a few post about furniture to follow!

And finally I am going on my first adult vacation, just me and my man and MEXICO!! I have never been and I am incredible excited! We are going to Puerto Vallarta for 7 days of sun and fun. I'll post a ton of picture of my beach fashions when I return. I can not wait to just relax and think about nothing! And yes, that is a swim up bar in the middle of the resort pool. I will be spending some time there for sure.

Birthday Wish List

My birthday is coming up fast, in 25 days to be exact and its a big one! Some of these things are a bit crazy but its a wish list right? So here is my birthday wish list:

A new dress form, in classy white. I want to use it for decoration/practical. In white its not ugly.

The perfect weekender bag! Click to follow through to the website where I found it.

Tickets to the ballet. This is the want I want to see.

I need a new bike that doesn't weight almost as much as I do but can still have basket. Above is just an example.

Ipod dock! Needs: play cds as well as ipod.

Macbook: I need a new computer that has a bigger screen and works better for my life. PC is not cutting it. I want to go back to my mac ways!

Everybody loves gift certificates for places they want to shop. Plus its guilt free shopping!

Money for shopping. I love to vintage shop and having some extra cash for just that would be great!

This one is a little bit personal. I would love a tattoo of a tiny ladybug. It has a lot of sentimental value to me and is something I have been thinking of getting since I was about 16.

I have tons of other things I want or need for my birthday but these are just a few of the more wanted items. I will love anything anyone gets me, my friends and family know me so well they are usually spot on with fantastic gifts. This is just a few ideas to get the juices flowing!

So Sunday was my 29th birthday and anyone who knows me knows that I love birthdays. I love other peoples birthday's, and I love my own. I like to go all out. I love to get all the people I love from all the walks of my life in one place. This year was perfect, one of the best birthdays yet! Started out at Whine O's on Granville, great place. If you haven't checked it out you really should. Good food and drinks, I say try the Mac and Cheese for food and the Johnny Bravo for drink.

Birthday Photos!

Saturday was my 28th birthday and since I was born on the 28th of March it meant it was my Champagne birthday! I celebrated with the ones I love, at a place I love, Library Square. There was Champagne, Buck Hunter, Dancing and a whole lot of silly face making! All in all a great night and a great way to kick of being 28!

Birthday Outfits Part 2

Saturday night was my big birthday party. I had this outfit planned out way in advance....then it snowed! Well I still wore the sane outfit, it just meant we had to cab the 6 blocks to the party rather than walk like normal. It was a great party. Everything I wanted it to be and more. One this that might have been better is if I had taken any pictures! Thankfully my friends did, this was the best picture I could find out my outfit.

I was wearing really high gold platforms that I got at Aldo for $17 but I can not find a single picture where you can see them. Later in the night I change into my red flats so I could continue to dance. Which I did till four in the morning. Best birthday ever!

My friends brought me a cake, which was delicious!

Then at the end of the night me and my man went home, along with 3 friends who had to crash on our sofas! I had the most amazing time!! Thanks Everybody!

Birthday Outfits Part 1

Yesterday was my birthday so I had a a bunch of plans during the day and then my man made plans for the night. Being that we live in a rainy area I was hoping for great weather but unfortunately it SNOWED!! I was very upset about this but I made the best of it by wearing my furry Amelia Earhart hat. My plans for the day included a free breakfast at Denny's, Lunch with a friend and a mani/pedi with my friend, Katie.

The plans my man made were to go sit at the beach and have some wine before heading to Cardero's. We had to scratch the beach plans due to weather so before Cardero's we went to The Calling for a drink. Cardero's was amazing! I had never been there before so was super excited to try the food. The raw oyster were fantastic as was my steak and my dessert. Also they treated me like a queen because it was my birthday. A drink and dessert on the house. Plus our waiter was great, bonus he LOVED my shoes. Man, I love the West End and its plethora of gay man!

I topped it off with my white suede jacket with faux fur lining. I was going for a little '40's bombshell look. I think I achieved that. It was a great night and I was so so happy!

Bonus my man got me two new dresses for my birthday and I am so excited about them. I promise to take pictures of them and post them as soon as I get a chance. Well I'm off continue the birthday celebrations, a day of fun with my man followed by a great party tonight!! YAY!!
