Long Days and even Longer Nights.

Some days I know I am going to be running from one thing straight into the next. Yesterday was definitely one of those days! I worked 9 hours at Le Chateau and then headed straight to J Lounge on Davie for a fundraiser. My friend, Duncan, is in a play which I have been told I will be seeing so I suggest you all go see it too. Its call "5 Women wearing the same dress". Starts in March.

After that I met up with my friends, Stanly and Justine, at Numbers where we rocked the Karaoke. Man, I love Karaoke! Well this outfit worked well for everything.

Sweater: American Eagle
Skirt: Le Chateau
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Joe Fresh
Belt: H&M
Cuff: Value Village

In the background:
Coat: Le Chateau
Scarf: Sears

Now I am tired and thinking its back to bed for a quick nap and then I'm going to ride around the seawall, even if it is -4 outside.

Sunny and Cold

Yesterday it was sunny but so cold. In fact it was supposed to snow in the afternoon but thankfully didn't. Don't get me wrong I love snow but I have reached the point where I just don't want to be cold anymore. So I pulled out my warmest, most fun coat and said let's tango winter. Lucky for me, winter was busy. Anyways here is what I wore:

Jacket: Gift from many years ago(not real fur)
Sweater: H&M, from their organic cotton line(so soft)
Shirt: Le Chateau
Jeans: Le Chateau
Boots: Le Chateau

Its a lot of Le Chateau but that is because I work there and you have to wear it to work which is what I was up to yesterday. I'll be there all day today too if anyone wants to come visit.

The Perfect Weekender

I have been hunting for the perfect weekend bag since last summer and with this summer fast approaching it is time to make a decision.

I think this might be the perfect bag that I have been searching for. My friend, Jen, sent me this via her brother. I'm not sure if he ever bought but I think I am going to have too. Or maybe I'll wait till after my birthday....just in case.

Sunny Weekend = no photos...oops

This weekend was crazy busy, full of work and fun times. Most importantly it was full of SUN! Was anyone else super shocked that it was snowing this morning in downtown? I know I was after the weekend of sun that we had. I rode the seawall of Saturday! No picture of outfits from the weekend though. One there was nothing special to take a photo of and two I was busy!

Here is what I wore a couple days again to meet with someone who could give me some advice on how to advance my fashion career. I was a bit nervous but he totally put me at ease, and then tore my resume apart. Guess it is back to the drawing board!

Dress: Zara
Tights: Hue, the bay
Shoes: Aldo
Cuff: Value Vintage

So I promise these picture are going to get better. I'll get my man to start taking them (if your reading this, please). And I am do the research on getting a new camera. So if you have any hints feel free to leave them in the comments.

Happy Monday People,

Like a kid on parent/teacher night....

Last night I met my man's parents...for the first time! I was super nervous! I am never normally nervous meeting someone's parents, they generally like me. This time however I was. So imagine me trying to get ready. I must of tried on 20 different outfits. I still wanted to look like myself but not go over the fashion top. Especially for dinner at their house. I finally settle on a simple classic look and then promptly forgot to get a picture of it...I said I was nervous.

Mad Hatter

Sometimes after buying something fabulous it take me a bit to figure out how to wear it or more importantly where to wear it. This was not the case yesterday. I wanted to wear my new fedora so bad that I looked for an outfit to wear it with to run errands around town in. I found it on "My Style Pill"

This is one of my favourite things about all the amazing style bloggers out there. When stuck for what to wear, how to wear or how to remix you take a quick spin through your favourite blogs and bam, inspiration! I saw this picture and thought I have these pieces and I love this look, that is what I am going to wear today!

Hat: Le Chateau
Jacket: H&M
Sweatshirt: Urban Planet
Jeans: Small Town, Dutil Denim
Boots: Le Chateau
Scarf: Roxy
Bag: Le Chateau

I really loved this outfit. It was totally my style and great for running around while still looking stylish. Thanks Christine for the inspiration. Tell me who is your inspiration?

Frock Swap 6.0

It is that time again people! It is time to swap! If you haven't been to a swap yet you are missing out. If you have been I hope you are as excited as I am. I have a bag of stuff that has been waiting for this moment. Now I just need you great people to swap some amazing finds with me. You know what they say "One man's junk is another man's treasure". Let's swap some treasures.

Check out all the details here!

Snow White and the 5 things.....

Today I felt a little bit like a modern day Snow White. It was probably because I am extra pale right now from the lack of sunshine in my rainy city. Don't get me wrong, I love Vancouver but sometimes the lack of sun really gets to me. On top of being pale, I was rocking the red lipstick and have dark brown locks. You can always disagree with me but its how I felt.
Shirt: Borrowed from Lexie, a girl I work with.
Skirt: American Apparel
Tights: Hue, from The Bay
Boots: Le Chateau
Earrings: Claire's
Bracelet: Value Village

As it was a long day at work I decided to focus on 5 things that made me very happy today.

1) Red Lipstick: Always makes me smile and as you can see I wear it a lot. This is the only color of red I wear and I doubt I will ever change. MAC Russian Red.

2) A pint of ice cold beer in my favourite pint glass that I bought on a wicked girl's weekend to Seattle with one of my best girls, Ali. What a great trip and such a great glass.

3) New magazines arriving in the mail. Grab ice cold beer, new magazine, seat and relax. Best to not disturb.

4) The new hat I got today from my work for $4.00! How can you go wrong!? You can't.

5) The amazing Valentine's Day card I got yesterday from my man. He wrote something very awesome and fairly romantic inside and that is what every girl want!

Now I am off to Trivia with my friends, which I guess is number 6 of things that made me happy today!

Till next time,

xoxo Girl

Valentine's Day: Part 1

I LOVE VALENTINE'S DAY! I know, I know, you think of course you do, you are a girl. Honestly I love all little holidays, St Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, all of them! Now back to why I love Valentine's Day. I am a hopeless romantic. I love the flowers, the cards, the candy hearts, the cinnamon hearts, wearing pink or wearing red, ALL OF IT. So here is the first of my red outfits for the day:

Jacket: Zara
Top: Joe Fresh
Skirt: so old can not remember
Tights: The Bay
Boot: Hunter

Went to lunch with my friend Brittany after making banana muffins at her place. Nothing like Valentine's Day chicken strips. Next up dinner with the new man. I have no idea where we are going as he will not tell me. If you think this outfit has a lot of red wait till you see my dinner look.

Till later: HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

This happens to me quite often where I seem an outfit that consist of pieces I own but have never put together that way. So here is it:

T-shirt: American Apparel
Jeans: Moto, DIY by Me.
Shoes: Aldo
Earrings: Hong Kong night market
Necklace: Sears
