Sunshine City

This weekend my man and I headed up to Kelowna for the long weekend. It was hot and sunny! FINALLY! We had tickets for Center of Gravity, which is a music festival and sporting event. Volleyball, Basketball, Motorcross, Wakeboarding, Mountain Biking, and more.

First up we hit up a couple wineries on the day we arrived, Quail's Gate, Mt. Boucherie, and Little Straw Vineyards. It was a lot of fun to do a few tastings and find some new wines that we hadn't tried before. We even had a nice lunch at Little Straw Vineyard over looking the vineyards and the lake.

First Stop: Quail's Gate Winery

Our home away from home.
We stay in this little tent in our friend's uncle's yard. It was quite nice, they even have a pool and boats. SO much fun. We played a few games of bean bag with the family and it was a hit. Of course everyone was challenging everyone else.

Beach dancing.

LA Riots.
At COG we danced a lot! On the beach, on grass, pretty much anywhere we could. It was a lot of fun!
Just a couple of goof balls!

Happy Times!

Boating on Okanagan Lake.

Pre-wakeboarding.

Wakeboarding.

Post Wakeboarding.

Mission Hill Winery.

It is pretty fancy.

Cute!

Last Stop: Mission Hill Winery.
On our way home we hit up one last winery, Mission Hill. They are a fancy, fort-like winery that make a lot of wines that restaurants serve, and the tasting was good! We then headed back on the road home to VanCity. It was a great weekend away, both fun and relaxing. Exactly what one wants from a mini vacation. Hope everyone had a great long weekend.

Trip To V-town

This weekend my man and I headed to Vernon for his dad's birthday. After driving for 6 hours we ended up in beautiful lake country. Seriously there are lakes glory. If you've never been to the Okanagan I seriously you check it out, its beautiful. Much different than the mountains and sea that us Vancouverites are used to and so beautiful. While there we did a three winery tour. Grey Monk for Lunch followed by Mission Hill and Quail's Gate.
